Does Encrypted Mean Anything? Urgent!

I have a second phone that I let my boyfriend use while I was away. When I got it back I noticed there were messages coming into that phone from an unknown person from the country of Lebanon – 962 county code. I thought perhaps this unknown person got my number by error and saved it under someones name.

Then I saw that my boyfriend responded this persons messages but he claimed it wasnt him and must have come from a different cell phone. Or…he may have forgotten to delete them? When I asked him about his replies he said doesn't seem to know where the response messages came from but insists the unknown was man from the 962 area code, must jave two cell numbers aaves under one conract name and when the other person replied, it somehow "appeared" on MY phone in error.

However I don't see how that is possible since I see that my phone was encrypted as all whats app messages are. Can someone please explain if a message from another phone going to this 962 number, can appear on MY phone? Again, lets assume she has my number and another cell under one name. Could the OTHER persons message appear my whats app chat or if I am correct in suspecting that the response message REALLY DID come from my boyfriend and from my phone?

I need to know because I don't see how it's possible that another cell phone in another country could respond to this 962 number and show up on my phone. I just want to know any and all possibilities. I emailed whats app but its been weeks and no one got back to

THANK YOU KEY FOR ANSWERING MY QUESTION. Its definitely not a hacker. A hacker wouldn’t answer her and call her “baby”. But your inital response is just what I thought too. I know it was impossible and thought it if that was the case, I should have been able to see the others cell phones response going to the 962. It was a just a keen way for him to slither out of it. HOWEVER, just to be 100% sure, I thought I’d ask.

I think it’s suspicious. It’s almost impossible with the WhatsApp encryption. Conversation went for 99% sure between your phone number and the 962.

There’s is only one possibilty for hackers:

But then I would not expect that you would see chats between two other numbers (unless you are the hacker)

Please note that anyone with your phone number can text you on WhatsApp (by mistake)
