WhatsApp now really ends support BlackBerry OS and Windows Phone 8.0

WhatsApp will finally stop in a few days with BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone 8.0 and older.

WhatsApp CEOJan Koum confirmed this after questions from Whatsappen.nl.

In June the end date of these operating systems was extended by half a year. That’s not happening this time according to Jan Koum.

For BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 users this means that they can no longer use WhatsApp in the new year. BlackBerry devices that run on Android (BlackBerry Priv and DTEK50) will still be supported.

Windows Phone 8.0 and older

Also users of Windows Phone 8.0 and older can no longer use WhatsApp in the new year. Since November 1, 2017 it was already not possible anymore to create a WhatsApp account on a Windows Phone 8.0 or move an existing WhatsApp account to a Windows Phone 8.0.

To continue using WhatsApp you must update your device to Windows Phone 8.1. For instructions on doing this, you can visit the Microsoft Support page.

Android, iPhone and Nokia S40

For users of Android, iPhone and Nokia S40 nothing will change this weekend.

You may end support to BlackBerry 10 os but it can allow android what’s app to use in this device but it can’t give such a feeling like where BlackBerry 10 os user interface. Anyway you had designed what’s app for BlackBerry 10 in 2014 roughly three years you had provided client support to BlackBerry 10. Thanks for that. You may not support BlackBerry 10 os cause it is the beauty I have ever seen in my life time I like it very much you can’t see such type of os after a decade too. That’s the great BlackBerry journey.
