WhatsApp expands, opens office in Dublin

WhatsApp will soon open an office in Dublin. That’s confirmed by WhatsApp after questions from Whatsappen.nl.

In the early days WhatsApp was only active in California. After we found some WhatsApp vacancies for other locations today, we’ve reached out to WhatsApp for more details.

A spokesperson of WhatsApp confirms to Whatsappen.nl that they are building a small support team in Dublin, Ireland. “We’ve recently introduced a variety of new features, with more on the way, and expanding our support team to Dublin allows us to better serve the growing community of users around the world”.

Next to Dublin, WhatsApp has also vacancies for London and one for India (Gurgaon or Mumbai). WhatsApp declined to comment on this.

Small company

Despite expansion to other location(s), WhatsApp still tries to keep things small. In a previous chat, co-founder Brian Acton said the company has only 200 employees.
